Basketball Game Preview: Allen Eagles vs. Andress Eagles

The Allen Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Andress Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Allen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Allen is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Prosper, who was ranked 15th at the time (Allen was ranked first). Allen blew past Prosper 75-46 on Friday. Allen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Antonio Shannon went supernova for Allen, going 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Shannon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Antoine Shannon, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Andress). They claimed a resounding 93-32 win over Immanuel Christian. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Andress pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Allen, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
