Football Recap: Northview Piles Up the Points Against Central + How To Watch

Northview's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Central Lions 60-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chiefs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Northview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brody Rigby, Callender, and Cole Davis picked up one apiece. Callender got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Northview, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Spence, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Northview picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northview will face off against Flomaton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Chiefs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Central, they will take on Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
