Basketball Recap: Arroyo Takes a Loss

Arroyo was the 52-47 winner over Rosemead when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Arroyo Knights fell just short of the Rosemead Panthers by a score of 51-48 on Wednesday.

It was another big night for Rhys Anderson, who posted 21 points for Rosemead. Anderson is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Daniel Nguyen, who scored 13 points.

Arroyo now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Rosemead, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

The future could be bright for both Arroyo and Rosemead: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Arroyo will try to hand Marshall their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Rosemead will look to extend El Monte's 19-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
