Volleyball Recap: Heartland Takes a Loss

Heartland lost against Clinton Christian Academy back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heartland took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 19-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-8.

Carissa Compton was nothing short of spectacular for Clinton Christian Academy: she had 26 digs and three aces.

Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Clinton Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Heartland will challenge rival Center Place at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clinton Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Overland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on September 4.
