Basketball Recap: Navarre Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Navarre was feeling good fresh off their 77-41 takedown of Pine Forest on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Walton Beach Vikings on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 59-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Walton Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jataevion Jones, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points and five steals. Sean Simon was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Navarre's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fort Walton Beach, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Navarre will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Escambia at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th. As for Fort Walton Beach, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-54 loss against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on the 24th.
