Football Recap: South Choctaw Academy Falls to Lamar in First Game of Season

South Choctaw Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Lamar Raiders on Thursday, falling 35-14. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.

Sullivan Reed had an outrageously good game for Lamar as he rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 164 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes. Jalin Trotter was in the mix too, providing the Raiders with two scores.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Choctaw Academy will host Banks Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Lamar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
