Baseball Recap: Picayune Takes a Loss

Picayune lost against Hancock last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maroon Tide fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 6-5. The Maroon Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Moreaux was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Parker Helton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Picayune's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Hancock, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

While Picayune had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
