After flying high against Hidalgo on Friday, Economedes came back down to earth. The Economedes Jaguars fell 8-3 to the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines on Saturday. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Economedes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evelyn Cano, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Economedes now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Economedes wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-2 defeat against Nixon on the 1st. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North on the 4th.
