Softball Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

Odyssey Institute extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-14 in the process. They lost 21-3 to the Kingman Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-4 back in March.

As for Kingman, the win got them back to even at 13-13. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Kingman's part, they got a massive performance out of Kaitlynn Martin, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Molly Tyson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Odyssey Institute will host Parker at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kingman, they will face off against Highland Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Honey Badgers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.54 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
