Baseball Recap: Craigmont Comes Up Short

Craigmont lost against Raleigh-Egypt back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chiefs took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pharaohs.

Antonio Grove was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Craigmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Raleigh-Egypt, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Craigmont will welcome Ridgeway at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they will head out to face off against Fairley on Friday. The Pharaohs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
