With a playoff win on the line, New Caney rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Spring Lions with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four games in a row.

New Caney's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-12-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Spring, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9.

As of now, neither New Caney nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
