It was a good run, but Sartell-St. Stephen unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Buffalo Bison 50-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sabres came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Bison are ranked 137th).

Sartell-St. Stephen's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Buffalo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sartell-St. Stephen will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sauk Rapids-Rice at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Buffalo and Century will round out the year against one another at at 2:45 p.m. on December 27th.
