Basketball Recap: Spearman Takes a Loss

Spearman and Panhandle squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Spearman had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Panhandle Panthers, falling 67-25. The Lynx were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Spearman's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Panhandle, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 29-3.

Spearman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Panhandle, they will take on Abernathy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abernathy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Panhandle likes a good challenge.
