Softball Recap: Cypress Falls Comes Up Short

If Cypress Falls was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Cypress Park on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cypress Falls Eagles came up short against the Klein Cain Hurricanes on Saturday, falling 12-3. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Aubrey Leblanc was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Ava Leblanc was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Cypress Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Klein Cain, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Cypress Falls will be taking part in a tournament against Friendswood at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Klein Cain, they will take on Klein Forest at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
