Softball Recap: St. Michael's Horsemen vs. East Mountain Timberwolves

After flying high against East Mountain on Wednesday, St. Michael came back down to earth. The St. Michael's Horsemen fell just short of the East Mountain Timberwolves by a score of 11-10 on Wednesday. St. Michael's was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Mountain apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played.

Mariella Ruiz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jaslene Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Even though they lost, St. Michael's was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with six doubles. That's the most doubles they've managed all season.

On East Mountain's side, they let Shyann Moorhead and Chaeli Lehocky loose on the outfield. Moorhead went 3-for-4 with four runs, a triple, and a double, while Lehocky scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Terra Norman was another key contributor, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a double and an RBI.
