Farmersville was the 7-6 winner over Gunter when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Farmersville Farmers fell just short of the Gunter Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Farmers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Alyssa Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Farmersville now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Gunter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Farmersville will challenge Gunter at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Gunter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
