Softball Recap: Shakamak Takes a Loss

Shakamak lost against Terre Haute North Vigo back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakers lost 13-3 to the Patriots. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shakamak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Kennett, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Shakamak's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shakamak will welcome West Vigo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Lakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomington North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
