Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glendale Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ta'Lon Heron, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Washington now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Glendale, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
