Volleyball Recap: Greensboro Day School Comes Up Short on the Road Against GRACE Christian

Greensboro Day School had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the GRACE Christian Eagles, falling 3-0. The Bengals have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Greensboro Day School was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10, 25-16.

GRACE Christian was led to victory by Caralyn Woodworth and Lily Moss. Woodworth had 12 digs and three assists, while Moss had five digs. Woodworth is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

GRACE Christian pushed their record up to 2-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greensboro Day School will host Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for GRACE Christian, they will take on Thales Academy Rolesville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
