Baseball Recap: Dewar Falls Short Against Ranked Tushka

Dewar faced Tushka in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Dragons lost 11-3 to the Tigers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Dragons, who until this contest were averaging 1.63 runs allowed.

AIDEN TOMLINSON was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Braelin Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dewar fell to 29-1. As for Tushka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dewar will square off against Latta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tushka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hartshorne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Tigers' favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while the Miners have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
