Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Christian Sharks vs. Highlands Christian Knights

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sports Leadership & Management, Atlantic Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Highlands Christian Knights by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sharks also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

Atlantic Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highlands Christian only served ten.

Despite the loss, Highlands Christian still got an impressive performance from Emily Eades, who had six aces, two kills, and 27 assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Eades now posted eight or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Highlands Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Atlantic Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against South Florida HEAT at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Highlands Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Somerset Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
