Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Michael Benedictine). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gross Catholic Cougars on Friday, sneaking past 73-71. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Cougars are ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mount Michael Benedictine's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Gross Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
