Basketball Game Preview: West Fargo Packers vs. Fargo North Spartans

The West Fargo Packers are taking a road trip to take on the Fargo North Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, West Fargo took a blow against Red River, falling 67-33. The loss continues a trend for the Packers in their matchups with the Roughriders: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Fargo North came up short against Fargo Davies on Friday and fell 59-49. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

Fargo North has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for West Fargo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

West Fargo came up short against Fargo North in their previous meeting back in January, falling 50-39. Can West Fargo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
