Baseball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Boaz Pirates. The Eagles have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Douglas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Judson Murray, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Boaz, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

While Douglas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
