Volleyball Recap: Cedarville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Greeneview on Tuesday, Cedarville came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Madison Plains Golden Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Cedarville ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Madison Plains can attribute much of their success to Audrey Perigo, who had five aces. Those five aces gave Perigo a new career-high.

Cedarville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Madison Plains, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedarville will host Dayton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison Plains, they will welcome Bishop Ready at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
