Football Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. Penn Manor Comets
J.P. McCaskey extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-10. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Penn Manor Comets. If the Red Tornado were looking for revenge after losing 44-6 to the Comets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Penn Manor, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season.
It was another big night for Randy Guthrie, who rushed for 199 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and one TD. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Connor Smeigh was another key player, throwing for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
As of now, neither J.P. McCaskey nor Penn Manor have any future games scheduled.
