After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Verrado, Youngker was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Desert Edge Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Roughriders: when they faced off against the Scorpions back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.
While Youngker won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.
Addielyn Angel paced Youngker's offense, picking up six kills. Angel really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Finally, Gabrielle Boggs kept Youngker's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
