Soccer Game Preview: Chagrin Falls vs. Orange

The Chagrin Falls Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Orange Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Chagrin Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Hawken, who was ranked fifth at the time (Chagrin Falls was ranked 21st). The Tigers fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Chagrin Falls couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orange). They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Perry on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Orange considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

The victory made it two in a row for Orange and bumps their season record up to 4-3-1. The wins were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two contests. As for Chagrin Falls, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
