The Lower Lake Trojans will take on the Fort Bragg Timberwolves at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Lower Lake's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kelseyville with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. In other batting news, Jamiya Lee-Ayers and Heidi Ortega did most of the damage at the plate: Lee-Ayers got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI, while Ortega went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Lee-Ayers has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Fort Bragg came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Upper Lake on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Like Lower Lake, Fort Bragg also got a great game from a two-way player: Andrea Escobedo. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Escobedo was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Silva, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sierra Thompson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Lower Lake's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Fort Bragg, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Lower Lake couldn't quite finish off Fort Bragg in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
