Basketball Game Preview: Stringer Red Devils vs. Lumberton Panthers

Stringer is on a seven-game streak of home losses, and Lumberton a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Stringer Red Devils will welcome the Lumberton Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Stringer has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Stringer lost to Taylorsville at home by a 60-45 margin.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Lumberton and Resurrection Catholic had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 59-31. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Eagles are ranked 72nd).

Stringer's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lumberton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Stringer strolled past Lumberton in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a score of 57-42. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
