Baseball Recap: Huron Comes Up Short

Dexter hit Huron with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The River Rats lost 14-1 to the Dreadnaughts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dreadnaughts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Monday.

Huron has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Dexter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Dreadnaughts beat Huron by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday.
