Recap: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. Westwood Panthers
The Okeechobee Brahmans won the last time they faced the Westwood Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Okeechobee strolled past Westwood with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Okeechobee.
Okeechobee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corey Wilkerson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilkerson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Saunders, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Westwood's loss came despite strong showings from Colton Foster and Jordan Crutchfield. Foster dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Crutchfield scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Foster is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played.
Okeechobee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Westwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tradition Prep the next time they take the court. Westwood will host Tradition Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Okeechobee will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
