Basketball Recap: Cheraw Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cheyenne Wells, Cheraw was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 48-43 victory over the Eads Eagles. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 70-47 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Case Nelson, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Adyn Hough, who had seven points and nine boards.

Cheraw is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Eads, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Cheraw has already played their next game (against Las Animas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eads is taking a road trip to square off against Kim/Branson at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Kim/Branson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
