Softball Recap: Navarro Comes Up Short

Navarro lost against Crockett back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Navarro Vikings came up short against the Crockett Cougars, falling 16-1. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crockett, they pushed their record up to 5-7-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Navarro will face off against Anderson at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something Navarro will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crockett, they are taking a road trip to challenge Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
