A late scoring drive and resilient defense sealed the victory for the Red Raiders, snapping McCallie's momentum ans strengthening Baylor's case in the national Top 25. Both teams showcased elite talent, but it was Baylor's composure in the final minutes that proved the difference.

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bloomington, the Hebbronville Longhorns were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 41-34 victory over Freer. This was payback for Hebbronville, who suffered a 71-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jeffery Shreve was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for him. Oscar Carrillo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.

Hebbronville's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Freer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

Hebbronville is on the road again on Wednesday and play against IDEA North Mission at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Freer, they will take on La Villa at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
