Basketball Recap: Norfolk Takes a Loss

Norfolk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lincoln North Star Navigators 59-23. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Navigators are ranked 41st).

Despite the loss, Norfolk still got an impressive performance from Skylar Indra, who posted eight points. Aliyah Taylor also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Norfolk's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lincoln North Star, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Norfolk has already played their next contest (against Lincoln High), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lincoln North Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-29 defeat against Millard West on the 18th.
