The Palmetto Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmetto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Palmetto came up short against Blue Ridge and fell 7-3.

Ella Kate Fowler was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Landry Woodson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph's Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-1 to Powdersville.

St. Joseph's Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Murphy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

St. Joseph's Catholic now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Palmetto, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palmetto hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like St. Joseph's Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Palmetto's way against St. Joseph's Catholic in their previous meeting back in March, as Palmetto made off with an 11-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
