Softball Recap: Mission College Prep Comes Up Short

Mission College Prep was the 4-1 winner over Arroyo Grande when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Royals took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Wednesday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mikaylee Gordon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Okimoto, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Mission College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Arroyo Grande, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-17.

Coming up, Mission College Prep will face off against Cabrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arroyo Grande, they will challenge Lompoc at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
