Basketball Recap: Marengo Skates Past Johnson with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Marengo over Johnson in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Marengo Panthers blew the Johnson Eagles out of the water with a 59-21 final score. The match marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

It was another big night for DeVontae Tucker, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Moore, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Marengo and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Johnson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

As for Johnson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hatch at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Hatch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
