Football Game Preview: Kemper County Wildcats vs. Philadelphia Tornadoes + Official Tickets

The Kemper County Wildcats will face off against the Philadelphia Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kemper County has given up an average of 36.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kemper County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 70 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Heidelberg on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-6 defeat at the hands of the Oilers. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Kemper County got top-tier performance from Damarius Yates, who rushed for 150 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Yates is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Philadelphia). They secured a 26-20 W over Eupora on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Philadelphia's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Kemper County, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
