Recap: Orange Park Raiders vs. Clay Blue Devils
There's no place like home for the Orange Park Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed by Clay at home to the tune of 62-34 on Thursday. Given Orange Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Clay is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Piera Alexander was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. She hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Hailey Revak, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The win got Orange Park back to even at 11-11. As for Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Orange Park will square off against Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Orange Park is facing Fleming Island at the right time seeing as Fleming Island is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Clay, they will take on Baker County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Averaging 52.1 points so far this season, Baker County's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Clay better be ready for a challenge.
