Soccer Recap: Fair Haven Comes Up Short

Fair Haven entered their contest against Woodstock on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Slaters fell just short of the Wasps by a score of 1-0. Fair Haven were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Woodstock earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Fair Haven's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-2-1. As for Woodstock, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fair Haven will square off against rival Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Woodstock is set to challenge their familiar foe Stratton Mountain School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
