Basketball Recap: Illinois C's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Illinois C's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-52 victory over the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Crusaders as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, HomeSchool Resource Center still got an impressive performance from Noel Green, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Deuce Johnson, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Illinois C's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Illinois C will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northside L at 5:20 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, they will take on Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
