Football Game Preview: Model Blue Devils vs. Temple Tigers + How To Watch

The Model Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Temple Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Model is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Model is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Heard County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Blue Devils came up short against the Braves, falling 54-28. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Braves are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last matchup, Temple made sure to put some points up on the board against Darlington on Friday. Temple came out on top in a nail-biter against Darlington, sneaking past 44-41. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Temple's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Temple now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Model, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Model might still be hurting after the 43-22 defeat they got from Temple when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
