Basketball Recap: Levi Samuel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Christian over Waco Christian

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Community Christian can now relate to. The contest between the Community Christian Lions and the Waco Christian Warriors didn't end well, with the Community Christian Lions falling 66-49. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Levi Samuel, who posted eight points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks. Samuel is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Hinton, who put up 15 points and six boards.

Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Waco Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Community Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-52 loss against Excel Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Waco Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 70-28 defeat against Still Creek Christian on the 20th.
