Baseball Game Preview: Murrieta Valley Nighthawks vs. Vista Murrieta Broncos

For the second straight game, Murrieta Valley will face off against Vista Murrieta. The Nighthawks are taking a road trip to take on the Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Murrieta Valley's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista Murrieta on Wednesday. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Vista Murrieta's part, they got a great performance from Jonas Jusay as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Taytum Reeves was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Ryland Duson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Vista Murrieta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Murrieta Valley only managed six hits.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Vista Murrieta, bringing their record up to 15-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Murrieta Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
