Recap: Boone Grove Wolves vs. Hebron Hawks
After flying high against the Tri-Township Tigers last Wednesday, the Boone Grove Wolves came back down to earth. Boone Grove was the victim of a rough 60-40 loss at the hands of Hebron on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Boone Grove has scored all season.
Boone Grove's loss came despite strong showings from Andrew Batesole and Jack Stevens. Batesole scored ten points, while Stevens scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Noonan, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Boone Grove struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Boone Grove's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hebron, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Boone Grove will head out on the road to face off against Kouts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hebron on the road again on Monday and play against Morgan Township at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Morgan Township is ranked 146th, while Hebron is ranked 127th).
