Softball Recap: Ipswich Tigers vs. Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals
Ipswich is still looking for their season's first win. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals on Monday. Ipswich was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hamilton-Wenham Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Liv Driscoll was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Julia Hubbard was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Ipswich's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ipswich will challenge Lynnfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 4:00 p.m.
