Volleyball Recap: Knox Comes Up Short

Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings. While the Redskins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-19 in the first set.

Knox started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Knox still got an impressive performance from Addison Sponaugle, who had 26 digs and two aces. Sponaugle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Brynli Minix also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Tippecanoe Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Coming up, Knox will face off against Culver Community at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will take on West Noble at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
