Preview: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Jackson Fighting Indians

Saxony Lutheran has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Jackson Fighting Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Saxony Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.

On Thursday, Saxony Lutheran was the victim of a tough 58-38 loss at the hands of Kennett.

Despite the defeat, Saxony Lutheran got a solid performance out of Evie Caruso, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Johnson, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, Jackson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past South Iron 82-47 at home. Jackson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Jackson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Saxony Lutheran didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Jackson when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory. Will Saxony Lutheran repeat their success, or does Jackson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
